It is a co-educational day school comprising of a Kindergarten and Primary School for boys and girls.
The Kindergarten was started in 1973. The foundation stone laid on 25th November 1972 by Hon. Mwai Kibaki who was then the Minister for Health and is currently the President of the republic of Kenya. It was officially opened on 17th February 1973 by Rev. Obadiah Kariuki, the Anglican Bishop of Mt. Kenya Diocese. -The primary school was started in 1995. This was due to the pressure from the community who wanted continuity of their children from the Kindergarten
The school was established to ensure that the vision and mission of Church Army of positively transforming the society could start at the tender age of primary level. The school has lived to this purpose by bringing up children in a holistic manner. It is a living centre of excellence existing to:-
- Provide early childhood education of the highest standards possible.
- Provide primary school education of the highest standards possible.
- Bring up children in a Christian environment to shape their morals and character development.
- Bring up children in respect to the four main domains of human that complete a holistic life (physically, mentally, socially and spiritually).
The school is founded on strong and sound Christian principles with high levels of discipline. It has conducive environment for open learning and spiritual nourishment of young boys and girls because our members of staff have a strong Christian background. The school offers holistic education hence produces well molded pupils who can fit well in the society.
Church Army Academy is a co-educational day school comprising of a Kindergarten and primary school for boys and girls. It is located within the Church Army Africa Headquarters along Jogoo Road, Nairobi, Kenya. It is one of the Church Army Africa projects that seek to transform the community around the Headquarters by providing quality and Holistic education for the society at an affordable fee
The school is located within the Church Army Africa compound along Jogoo Road, Nairobi, Kenya. Being along a major road it is easily accessible. For security purposes, the school is surrounded by a perimeter brick wall with one manned entry.
It offers the Kenyan 8-4-4 system of education and Competency Based Curriculum(CBC) respectively. Extra subjects offered include swimming and computers and other life skills. The curriculum and educational philosophy of the school emphasize on holistic, development of learners i.e. physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially.
The parent is expected to bring back to school the admission and declaration form duly filled attached with banking slip for fees, and a copy of either birth certificate/notification or clinic card.
The school maintains a standard number of pupils per class to ensure all pupils are given enough attention
After the interview and the child have passed then he/she qualifies for admission. Parent is issued with admission requirements. Admission requirements are given after the interview.
We maintain high level of discipline guided by a discipline contract between the pupils and staff. We enhance termly virtues and bible verses to instill discipline and responsibility.
The school reaches out to needy and bright students and offers them a bursary. Pupils who would not have gone to school have an opportunity to attend school in this program.
For a child to be admitted in the school, an interview has to be conducted where a parent fills an application form and pays registration fee. Interviews are only done from 8:00am to 12:00pm. A school file and report book is required.
All school fees payment is done in the bank accounts provided. 80% of the total payment is done on admission, then 20% at the end of the first month. No cash is accepted in the school. The name of the pupil(s) and breakdown of payments is written at the back.
The school provides hot balanced diet meals and beverages for all pupils. No other meals are in school. The parent is only allowed to pack snacks i.e. slices of bread and/or water.

All pupils are entitled for educational trips within or away from Nairobi. Parents are informed in advance on the payment for the trip. The money is paid in cash in the school accounts office.
The school provides the opening and closing newsletter to all pupils. In the newsletters the calendar of event is usually given at the end of the letter to guide parents on what is required for them in the term.
Parents are requested to strictly follow the calendar and attend to all school functions.

By using the school virtues, we engage in Community Services such as tree planting, cleaning the environment, visiting the needy, donations to the needy, charity walks etc. It enhances responsibility and opens their mind into life’s reality.
The school provides the following aspects for pupil’s growth:-
Kindergarten offers facilities at 3 levels for pupils of between 3 – 5 years i.e. Play Group class, Pre-Primary I and Pri-Primary II.
The primary starts from Grade 1 – Standard 8 for ages 6 – 13. We strictly follow the Ministry of Education regulations on pupil’s age.
Apart from normal PE lessons, Friday afternoon is a sports session in the whole school. The pupils are divided into four permanent groups called houses for competitions in ball games, athletics, singing games, indoor games and other sporting activities. The balanced diet provided ensures that all the pupils are physically fit.
Pupils enjoy fellowships at class level everyday where each teacher is the chaplain of the class. Class Bible verses, termly virtues, bible club, class theme, bible teachings, lessons planned with a biblical principle and many other Christian activities ensure pupils are nurtured spiritually.
With a strong team of guidance and counseling, all pupils emotional and psychological needs are taken care of. A mixture of pupils from different backgrounds adds value to the guidance and counseling department.
All pupils belong to at least one club or movement e.g. Scouting, Drama, Music, Debating, 4K, Computer French, Bible, Journalism, etc that build the pupils social aspect and promotes leadership in them.
With proper guidance on studies and thorough teaching, the pupils acquire a lot of knowledge which will help them achieve in academics and other spheres of mental development
